No one ever stops and realizes the effort they put into holding themselves together. 'Don't cry, it's okay. 'It's
not worth getting mad about, take a breath.' 'Don't dwell on it, there will be
other opporunities.' It takes effort to be whole and unbroken, until you realize how easy it is to fall. It's easy to be on a tight rope and just take a purposefully wrong step and shatter on the floor. It's a whole shit load harder to keep your balance.
That's what eating is for me. Once I get in the habit, eating is easy. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and two snacks are automatic once I learn, once I stop thinking about it. The moment I think about it, the moment I look down, I fall off my tight rope. It's simple to let go.
